GTA Fans Modding GTA 6’s Lucia into Other Titles
Just days after the release of the GTA 6 trailer, Grand Theft Auto enthusiasts are already bringing the game’s protagonist, Lucia, into other gaming worlds.
Fans have been busy on a well-known modding platform, sharing their creative endeavors. Many are immersing themselves in a pseudo GTA 6 experience by incorporating Lucia into various games. Some of these integrations are quite fitting, such as modding her into previous Grand Theft Auto titles, while others are more unexpected.
One unique creation comes from a user who introduced Lucia into Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2. Accompanied by a playful backstory, the mod imagines Lucia as a skateboarder honing her skills while waiting for the next GTA installment: “Before joining Jason in their Bonnie and Clyde-like adventures, Lucia spent a decade perfecting her skateboarding as Rockstar continued to focus on GTA 5,” they joked.
Another modder brought Lucia into both Grand Theft Auto 5 and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, providing a gameplay experience closer to what fans might expect from GTA 6.
The GTA 6 trailer itself, reacquainting fans with Rockstar’s rendition of Miami, Vice City, has set new records, eclipsing major reveals like Cyberpunk 2077’s in terms of viewership. The 90-second trailer, loaded with intricate details and nods to real-life events, has generated immense excitement.
Despite the announcement of a 2025 release for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, PC gamers were notably left out, leading to some disappointment. But it wasn’t just fans who felt let down; several Rockstar developers expressed their dismay on social media over the trailer’s premature leak, a sentiment echoed throughout the gaming industry. Additionally, the leak led to several content creators facing strikes and takedowns for sharing the footage.
