“Grand Theft Auto 6” is undeniably the most eagerly awaited game at the moment, despite being far from having a confirmed release date. Rockstar has not made any official announcement, but the emergence of “Grand Theft Auto 6” leaks compelled the company to acknowledge that the sixth installment is indeed under development, although not yet prepared for public unveiling. Regardless, last year’s “GTA 6” leaks ignited excitement throughout the gaming community. However, since then, fans have not received much new information about the game, whether from official channels or unofficial sources. Currently, some individuals are disseminating false information about “Grand Theft Auto 6” by sharing fabricated leaks.

The latest purported leaked footage emerges from Twitter user GTA Galaxy999. It presents approximately two minutes of what initially appears to be strikingly similar to the early-development version of “Grand Theft Auto 6” that fans caught a glimpse of last year. Shared on April 2, 2023—over six months following the September 2022 leaks—GTA Galaxy999’s video commences with a display that resembles an animation test.

The screen displays a clutter of text, a gleaming vehicle, and three orbs positioned behind the protagonist. The lead character dons the same reversed trucker cap, shorts, and grey shirt seen on a character in the previously leaked “Grand Theft Auto 6” footage. Despite the user claiming the authenticity of their “GTA 6” leaks—excluding those that are mere reposts or edited versions of last year’s leaks—there are multiple grounds for questioning their genuineness. This did not prevent certain fans from being misled, although for the majority, it was evident that the leak was not legitimate.
